August was a month of intense masculine energy presenting lots of tension and challenges to work through. This tough emotional “drama” can manifest in all different forms (spiritual, physical, energetic etc.) if not dealt with head on. When we resist and tuck away these emotional energies of sadness, fear, anger, guilt etc, we form energetic traps appearing as tension, tightness, pain and suffering in the physical body. If you take a moment to be present and allow yourself to feel these emotions, they will be released. Ahhhh…Doesn’t that feel better?
Lately, ive noticed people complaining of back issues (including myself). Most of us link pain in our physical bodies with a physical injury. Well, if you take a closer look at what is going on with you emotionally, you may be surprised by what you have trapped within your body. Are you feeling unstable or unsupported in your home life or finances? Do you trust yourself or others around you? Are you struggling with your relationships? Well, these issues can create anxiety, which can manifest as pain in your lower back or hips. As a teacher and student of life, I too experience pain, resistance and challenges, I’m human, ya know? While most days I feel empowered, face my fears and move forward with the flow of life...some days that just doesn’t happen and I find myself struggling just the same. Ah, a simple thing called life.
So, next time you feel resistance, challenges and life’s unexpected twists and turns, be open, let go and try to embrace the struggle with kindness (and some patience).
